COMIC
A Killer Debt
Kamazou is Killer because of course he is. WHATTA REVEAL! Beautiful job here with plenty of tiny hints threaded through the story to make it entirely believable.
・Kamazou’s epithet is ‘Hitokiri’ which literally means ‘killer’
・He fights with two scythes
・His characteristic laugh is enough to give the reader pause while reading to think, “Wait…is this going to be important?”
This predicament is going to be essential to Kid and Luffy’s relationship and I’m not just talking about Killer and Kid being drowned. Whatever Kaido has done to Killer is obviously devastating to Kid. If the Strawhats found themselves in this situation it would be like Zoro losing his mind and Luffy unable to aid him. It seems to be the result of SMILE poisoning. If Luffy’s crew can find a way to cure these symptoms, Kid will owe the Strawhats a major debt and that could be important in the future.

Everybody Do the Dinosaur!
And just like that, we round off Kaido’s monster trio! Jack the mammoth, King the pteranodon, and Queen the brontosaurus.
It calls to mind a comment from an interview with Oda-sensei from the fanbook One Piece Blue. When asked where he’d travel in a time machine Oda-sensei replied, “I’d see some dinosaurs, samurai and then robots.”
Looking at Queen’s robotic arm and Franky’s potential for robotic warfare, Oda-sensei might have been able to combine all of them in one arc!
