第126回：The Wondrous Toad Oil of Usopachi

The three men Hiyori (as Komurasaki) tricked out of their money, Bungo, Bongo & Bingo, have reentered our story seen here now in Ebisu Town. Their true natures revealed as a trio of conmen, we can tell that Hiyori was depriving some very nasty men of their dirty money which (hopefully) will be put to good use in restoring Wano to its former glory someday. Note the sound effects used to introduce them match the first part of their names! I wonder how Toei will address that!

We can easily spot Grand Line and Dressrosa stickers. One sticker seems to read ‘GREN’ with a pillar. Is this the One Piece world’s version of Greece? The bottom right sticker seems to end in ‘SY’ and I see a very tiny mouse-like head in the bottom right of the sticker. Is that from a certain ‘mouse-themed’ One Piece theme park? The rest are hard to decipher but what do you think?

The people of Wano are suffering in broken towns but Orochi wasted no time devoting time, resources, and money to fixing his palace.

Last chapter, Shogun Orochi called for his horses as he was ready to depart for Yasuie’s execution. Pretty standard line, right? Only…there were no horses, just these men carrying his carriage. Just perfectly normal plain looki-ZOMG LOOK AT THEIR LEGS!!! It seems that the Shogun had some horse SMILE used on his interior household staff in order to create a team of thinking humans capable of traveling at the speed of horses!

Toko attempts to heal her father with Usopp’s toad oil but Usopp starts to call out what we assume to be admission that his ‘miraculous’ toad oil is in fact snake oil. But wait… Usopp’s lies have always had a way of coming true. Does that mean somehow….just maybe….hmmmm, very interesting!

Look at the tarantula’s cup! The spider on the cup almost makes it look like a Starbucks logo! And it even begins with ‘ST’!
